Things you can craft on your vehicles are things like armor (spike armor, plasma armor, etc), speed, acceleration, weapons, etc. The actual items don't matter, they are all worth "1 ressource material" to craft. You can jump out of vehicles anytime to enter buildings to gather ressources (I'm thinking "hold a button inside a building" and you'll see your ressources meter climb up, with some prompt like: "You gathered a hammer. Spending ALL your ressources on one vehicle CAN be a viable strategy, but also is keeping so ressources in case you need another vehicle.
Vigilante 8 cars upgrade#
You gather ressources around the map to unlock stuff to craft to modify the vehicles - it's best to stick to one vehicle and upgrade it to the max, but an alternative strategy would also be to have the tools to be able to jump from one vehicle to the other in case they get damaged, destroyed, and that you're faced with a vehicle type that is stronger against yours. Several vehicles are on the map: trucks, cars, fast, small, agile, big, bulky, motocycle, hoover, bicycles, why not have a lake in the middle with boats on it, etc. If I was behind this, I'd make it this way: For this reason you should try and distill it down to the smallest and simplest concept you can, that way an interested game developer can actually make it.
